Slavery, Possession, and Mastery
Dividing the cube horizontally into three rows, we designate the three tiers of the Wrnlrd's passage: Slavery, Possession, and Mastery.

Slavery

Compartments 1, 2, and 3 occupy the lower tier of Slavery.
Possession

Compartments 4, 5, and 9 occupy the middle tier of Possession.
Mastery

Compartments 6, 7, and 8 occupy the higher tier of Mastery.

NAM (52)
We're on a hike along a friendly route, well-traveled, relatively safe. Still, everybody keeps one eye open in the back of their heads.
There is the feeling that anything could happen at any time. You're joking around with the guy next to you, everybody's full of piss and vinegar. But at the first glint of metal in the underbrush you're ready to jump into Hell. Could be a tin can, for all you know. Fuck it, you'll find out after you've emptied a clip at the bushes.
We spot a girl coming up behind us on a bike. She's maybe seven, eight years old. She rides by and we all get quiet. Its tense, you can feel it, a dozen guys ready to blow this little kid away at the slightest provocation. She must have felt it too because she doesn't even look at us, just keeps her head down, pedaling slow and steady. We let her pass.
Maybe it was the bike, the sound of the wheels. You can close your eyes and almost see a girl from back home. Dress blowing around her legs. Probably half the guys pitched a tent, listening to the wheels on that bike spin around.

Brainwave Synchronization 1p
All is without form. There is only the whirling static, like being held afloat in the currents of a tornado. Tape hiss. Something like feedback: droning notes awash in static. Soon a voice emerges. This is the first step along your path to a gateway.
A clean note is sounded in your right ear. This drops out and a different note is sounded in your left. After a moment the first note returns to the right ear and both notes play simultaneously. There is a vibration as they meet in the brain.
The two hemispheres of your brain are starting to act and perform electrically as one unit. This is what is described as Hemispheric Synchronization.

You're always on your feet, always hiking. Tripwires everywhere, guys getting torn up, legs blown off, castrated. You just gotta keep moving. You develop night vision. If you live long enough, you're able to spot the moonlight in the dew drops forming on the wire.
Once you learn to live like that, there's really no going back. It's hard to learn to walk again in normal situations. Even when you're back in the world, you go into a restaurant scanning the floor for traps. Taking these slow, careful steps. People think you're brain damaged.

Mask Of Hate (1, 3, and 6)

Mask Of Hate is the first component of the powerful Ternary complex 1, 3, and 6. The first document recorded an ambiguous structure of three sub-compartments, two of which were further divided into halves, creating the possibility of 5. A fourth (or sixth) sub-compartment was hidden beneath the floor of the third.
This multi-dimensional structure reflects the dynamic and shifting role of 1. Since completing the initial document we have become aware of 1 not only as cornerstone and root of Ternary complex 1, 3, and 6, but also as The Seed Of Corners (Quaternary #1).
A second printing of 1 was issued upon completion of 5, with minor corrections to reflect the new findings gathered at Pentagon.

Hypercube 6p
From the sequential reference point, 1 is the cornerstone (foundation stone) of the pyramid, and is therefore set directly opposite the capstone. Together these rest in balance on the fulcrum of 5. We use this lever to manipulate the Hypercube's mechanism.
As the foundation stone of the cube, 1 is the first component of the Quaternary complex of corner positions: (1, 3, 6, 8).
There are two fundamental Quaternary complexes built into the cube. They can be formed by gathering all four corners (as above) or by gathering all the outlying middle compartments or hubs (2, 4, 5, 7)

Quaternary #2
(Hubs)
2 + 4 + 5 + 7 = 18 = 1 + 8 = 9
(Hubs)
2 + 4 + 5 + 7 = 18 = 1 + 8 = 9We hope to reach a full understanding of these Quaternary complexes when compartments 7 and 8 have been completely explored.

You see women all the time but they aren't real. The girls you've left back in the world are what's real to you. How you remember them is real. A photo of a girl from home is worth more to you than the whole god damn country. And you in it.
Nam... the women are just illusions to mess with your mind. Maybe bushwhack you. It can be hard to tell them apart from the VC mother fucker who will grease you. They do it on purpose with their clothes and hair to try to get you comfortable and let your guard down. Even the little kids can't be trusted. Little five-year-old girls will fucking grease you. Sure as you're born.
